Job Description

General Statement of Function: Responsible for the teaching of assigned courses at assigned times as well as the other duties and responsibilities inherent in the position. Reports to the Dean of Career/Technical and Workforce Instruction at the Jefferson Davis Campus.

Mandatory Qualifications

MANDATORY: (M1) Associate degree in Computer or related field. (M2) Two years of current experience in applicable area to teaching field. (M3) Experience with programming languages such as Visual Basic, SQL, Java, C++, and/or Python. (M4) Familiarity with basic internet, E-mail, and word processing functions. (M4) Written and interpersonal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

DESIRABLE: (D1) Bachelor’s degree in program area to be taught. (D2) Community college and/or other college-level teaching experience. (D3) Multi-media instructional delivery experience.
